This image is made by collaging materials to a cereal box ( acrylic paint with a brush and root canal syringes, melted bettle wings with a hot plate, plastic tape, masking tapes, and gloss spray paint).

I also etched into the card and materials with rolletues, screws and a Stanley knife.

When the plate is finished....I add offset inks ( warm red + transarent white) to the surface with a credit card, and polish the surface with telephone paper. A traditional printing press then transfers the ink to water colour paper.

I added gouache for more colour.

Really nice colours on it. =) Never tried adding colours that way - used a roller usually, or scrubbed it in....might have to try it one day.

Really? I've never used it, nor really had opportunity to....just mix it in with water, apply and print? =)

You can do it that way, or you can apply water and then apply the powder without printing.
